Im the head diplomat of Crimson Imperium Reborn. Would Myrmidons be interested in practise battles with us?

This would be with real weapons, not wood, and to the death, Murdercounts are happily not a problem for a lot of our members. Both our guilds would be able to test tactics and strategys when fighting in larger groups.
Individual fights could also be arranged.

If there is an interest in this Id like to talk more on a Vent server.

I'm pretty sure I can speak for our leaders on this in that more than likely everyone in Myrmidon would love to participate in battles with your guild.  Smiley

Would be good fun, and good experience to boot.  As a guild focusing in PK, we are focused on maintaining a high level of combat readiness and skill.  Since we're planning on honing that skill during beta, this would be a good opportunity to get that practice in.  I cant say that any level of cooperation will be likely post-release,  but as this is a testing and learning time with few long lasting consequences, so I think we could work something out.

We are mostly players from the US, but also have a good number of EU players as well.  Name a time that works well for you and your guild, and we can see what we can arrange and the numbers that can attend.

Sure, Its good to get as much practise in as possible during Beta. Our guild also wants to keep practising and improving fighting skills on both a group and individual level.

Apart from the scheduled battles both our guilds can just keep engaging each other. For the scheduled practise battles an agreement to leave loot would be best to save the hassle of constantly having to replace armor, or having to lug several suits along. That way both guilds can practise new tactics with little actual loss.

Ill ask our guildleader what time and date will suit him, Ill leave the details of the arrangement to your and mine guildleader as they most likely know best what they want to practise in battle.

No worries on the part of engaging each other.  We have no qualms of killing people if we like what they are wearing Tongue

Although, I'm pretty sure your guild is centralized around Vadda, so we may not see much of each other.

I don't have a problem with leaving loot, just as long as someone doesn't relog in order to respawn with full health after death, and then they loot their own bag just to re-engage.  I hate that shit.

relogging, taking back loot and then re engaging would rather defeat the point of training. Anyone killed should take back his loot and withdraw from the battle till its over and another bout begins.

And indeed, soon that relogging&taking gear will be fixed.

What are the fixing about it?  The relogging with full health part?

Hopefully the part where you'll respawn as alive when you relog, you should still be dead.

No, as I understand, relogging to get your life back will still be in game, because it helps beta testers that may get killed while jumping off mountains or something like that.  At least they wont be able to log out during a fight to heal up.  IF they do log out to regain their life, then most likely we'll know who it was that died and rezzed themselves to fight again.  I know that I will be very much against it, as training fights serve no purpose if you cheat, and maintaining a realistic environment is one of the most important elements of training.  So, that being said, if they are caught cheating, I will not discourage raping of their guild members, AND taking their stuff in the process, or AT LEAST the person guilty of re-engaging.

I know that person sees this post too, so may it be a warning to him and his guild as well.

EDIT:  I'm hoping that the logout timer includes dead people too, so people wont be able to relog instantly when they die, giving the killer a chance to loot and move away before the victim can come back to chase/follow.

CIR will be sending a squad into Kranesh, it seems to be turning into quite a nice warzone. We will send rotating squads of 6 people for practise. No real interest in the war thats going on but interested in the fighting.

CIR as a rule will not loot unless looted first, not because we are overly friendly but because taking peoples armor generally means it takes more time before we can fight them again. Since this is not our war except for practise we see no reason to limit our number of opponents there.

Will Myrmidon be sending people as well?

When we're all familiar with the ins and outs of the next patch, we'll know more.

Depends on the day really.  I dont really care to schedule anything right now, however.

For future reference, Friday/Saturday during early evening US and night EU would be good for the most users online at the same time.

While it will be fun to battle CIR in Kranesh and what not, it does prove a bit annoying when AQ is all over the place exploiting and hitting for 158 to a full set of Cronite armor.
