Hey all, my name’s otomotopia (Oto for short). There’s a funny joke that goes along with it but I don’t know how many of you guys are English majors (Obwohl ich würde nicht erwarten, dass die Deutschen es trotzdem wissen. Damn Nazis xD). As you can read, I speak a bit of German… More Mandarin, but mostly English. But we’re not here to talk about languages, lets get down to why I’m aweso…I mean why I should be in this guild (And its not my subject title).

1.   I’ve already killed Shinzon. Twice. And nearly sold back his cloths.
2.   I’m new to the game (Started yesterday), but I’ve already killed Shinzon… twice…
3.   Ageis Impirum hates me already, so why not join up with the Myrms?
Well, those three are cool and stuff, but it’s not what you guys are looking for. Or is it?

Lets take a peek down this rabbit hole. I love PvP. I LIVE for killing players and getting nasty tells and having their butt-buddies come after me. Darkfall was the epitome of my PvP experience. It was fun, it worked (Oh god do I wish I could say that with a straight face), but it taught me the value of being Red. People don’t mess with you, unless they have a pack with them. Even then, once you bring them down a notch by dodging all their blows and striking back with a looted bone warhammer, they’ll run. And, oh… It’s fun to watch them run.

I love killing people I recognize too. How could I not remember the dude with the shiny Protoss avatar? And how could I NOT try to kill him (I mean, come on! Zerg is FTW, carrier spam is FTL! Everyone knows that!). Executing him was the best part, to be honest. Killing officers is basically a sport for me. Hell, in Darkfall, I could nearly tally off every officer that I killed. I never gloated publicly though. That’s left for the unprofessional. But in private, with my group… laughs and banter was shared.

I love these FP’Slashers. AoCh, Darkfall, and Mount and Blade (IMO, close enough) are some of my favorite games. MMO wise, I could not list them all. I do have a list on hand of every MMO I’ve beta tested, so here goes nothing.

My favorite fighting style is Hand and a Half swords with a large-surface area shield-Preferably Norman Kite. I’m former SCA, so I <3 not getting whacked too much, but still being able to move from side to side. I’ll probably grab mail coif and plate helm, mail shirt, and leather pants, with plate greaves and vambraces (Which I’m misspelling terribly). I like to move around the guy with some distance to react appropriately, whether that’s to jump back and counterstrike, to the side and maybe try a lucky cut, or block with a scamper to his back, and get a quick heavy hit to his head. I’m conservatively aggressive- I always try to get a hit in, but not at my own expense. 3 damage is enough to deal with if I can get a hit to his head. A full body rake for a stab to the eye, however, is not my style- I don’t trade blows-I get the advantage in an exchange as much as I can.

Cool guy talked to him in vent some while he was posting this app. Seems like he will fit right in and be an asset to the guild since he thinks Myrm is the best lol. Just keep hanging around and get to know everyone as soon as some active members get built up in game you and the other potentials will get a proper combat review.

Sweet. Evo is quite fun. I'm helping with the optimization mainly. however I expect much to change in terms of gameplay. The physics are intuitive, and I'm understanding XYZ awareness and manouvering. When I hooked my rig up to the big 'football veiwing' screen, I got vertigo, which was freakin' sick. All the same, the curve for equipment is ridiculous. The starter ship is basically a metal tin can, and the next couple of ships up are pretty much the same. After playing for about a month, however you'll have sooo much fun. I expect the stats to change to balance it out, but there's a definite break between experienced and inexperienced

So i've waited long enough.

In 2008 I would have gotten into block D for $75.

Now I'm able to get into beta and have a month afterwith a digital download of ~$53.

Time to buy! Thursday I get my paycheck. Friday I expect to be IG. Monday I expect to have my stats way up. And Tuesday I expect to be grouping with you guys.

Got to around 80 with my con and strength, but my Dex is in  the mid 30s. I'll grab running speed and the assorted Agility books while i mine/chop my con and str up. Could use a spear and shield though (MK).

Got some combat in with him, Map, and Davish (not applicant... yet) last night, and they were good.  Oto wasnt the best of the bunch, but he was definitely motivated and positive when he lost.  There was some lag, but we tried to be in the areas least prone to it (corner of the field north of MK, no mobs to track, no grass, etc).

I'll give my approval to this one.  But, he needs more combat training or experience still.  I'm still looking for a couple more votes to finalize it, so please let me know.  If I dont get a yes or no from you all, I'll decide for myself.
