Your MortalOnline.com forum user name: Kizzay
Your current character names in-game: Kizzay

Hello, Myrmidon. My IRL name is Kevin, and my in-game name is Kizzay. I would classify myself as a dedicated and active player. I am by no means casual, but I certainly do not obsess over games. However, I do admit to spending a lot of time in games and dedicating a good amount of my free time into MMO's. I like to revolve my playstyle around PVP; whether it's the adrenaline rush while engaging in battle or the sense of accomplishment after being victorious, PVP is the reason I play games, and, therefore, the reason why I play Mortal Online.

I've played a spectrum of games, both MMO, RTS, and FPS. I've been highly competitive and active in, to name a few, CS, SWG, Darkfall, WoW, etc. In each game, I've always played my hardest against competitive and skilled players (leagues, arenas, sieges, PVP/PKing in general). Mortal Online drew my eye, after a long period of not giving the game proper attention, and I have a feeling I will find myself playing MO constantly in the near future.

That being said, I immediately began looking for the guild that fit my playstyle and attitude. I've found many other PVP oriented guilds, but Myrmidon is the only guild I'm applying to. I was almost instantly interested in your guild as soon as I read the description. You guys are the clan that everyone hates, but admires. The group of skilled players than can win outnumbered through raw skill and strategy. Numbers aren't important, no. It is unnecessary to have a huge roster list of players that are incompetent and useless when you can have a strong core group of players that can be just as, if not more, effective.

I want to be apart of the clan that will make history in MO, the clan that everyone will hate and fear, the clan that, in 2-3 years, will leave a mark. In all honestly, it was the first sentence of the guild description that drew my eye: a guild with the "expectation of becoming revered and infamous for our actions."

Now that I've listed the reasons I want to join Myrmidon, it is only fair to you that I list the reasons I would be a valuable asset to your guild. I am experienced--perhaps not in MO, but in MMO's and other similar games in general. I am willing to learn and I learn fast, and I sure as hell don't expect my hand to be held through it. While my reflexes aren't perfect, I've played enough FPS games to make a difference in battles.

I am aware of my role in group battles. I won't be the player combat looting, or the player that strays from the group to fight a single person. It is important for a single person to be giving commands, and equally important for the entire group to be unitedly following those orders; I realize that, and this must happen for a smaller group of players to trump a zerg. I'm not afraid of losing gear at all, so I'll be the one fighting till death.

To be frank, I'm a competent player with a sense of humor and common sense. I'll do my best to help the clan, while holding up my own weight. I'm active, loyal, and dedicated. I will stay with a clan until it disbands, and I will help guildmembers in the process. I'm always on vent, constantly refreshing forums at work, and a friendly person in general. Let me show you how I can contribute to Myrmidon, and I doubt you will be disappointed.

Thanks,
Kevin/Kizzay

ps. sorry for the wall of text. it's either this or write a summary of the 2 hour meeting I just had Smiley

Thanks for the application. Good read.

Exactly how much experience do you have in Mortal Online overall?

We're planning on bumping up our application process & making it quite a bit harder than it is currently.

To be honest, I didn't play the beta so I'm really new. I'm aware of the concepts of this type of game, and, as I said in my app, I learn quickly.

I don't expect the guild to walk me through the game, of course, but when I get a hang of the game and skill my character up, I want a guild with players as dedicated to PVP as I am.

Very nice application. I like it.
I am not sure about the current plans of applications.

So I think you should just hop on vent everytime you plan on playing mortal and just roll with us, and once you think you're good to go, we'll have a combat test set up for you and see how it goes.

What kind of character build do you plan to pick? Like Mage, Melee, Heal, Crafting... etc

If that's the application process, I'd be more than happy to do it.

Oh, and I'm planning to play a melee build at first, at least until I can get a solid feel for the game and a decent amount of gold; eventually, i'm hoping to shift more of my focus into magery

Well, I'd say currently it's like this:

(from hardest to easiest)

Archery -> Melee -> Magic

But Archery isn't used that much due to the weak damage against plated targets, I don't know how the amount of player wearing plate will change (Armor Balance Patch).

So it's mostly between melees and mages. Magic is auto-aimed, it feels more like a WoW mage.

Most of our combat tests were based on melee fights tho.
So I think, once you get used to the melee-combat you won't have any problems to switch to magic.

The new council leadership has decided that Myrmidon is moving to an invitation only guild.  All current applications are to be terminated immediately unless otherwise specified from a Council member.  We do not accept any players who are new to the game and who are not already skilled PVP'ers. We apologize for any inconvenience, and if you wish to show us you definitely have what it takes to be a Myrmidon, meet us out on the battlefield and show us through your own means.  Good day.
